I love that show! Has anyone here seen it yet? If you don’t know what OitnB means, please refer to our ever-trusted source of information: The allmighty Wikipedia!
But this post does not really have anything to do with this TV show. Except that it’s about the color orange. Yesterday I went into a frenzy, printing all labels and business cards that I might need for my upcoming craft fair. … You’re attending a craft fair, Ann?! Well yes. I will be exhibiting and selling my soaps at a local craft fair in a couple of weeks. So there’s a lot of preparation to be done. And as prep for the fair I printed up all of my remaining sheets of business cards. Now I had a stack of business cards and no storage, that’s when I came up with the idea of a little business card holder where my cards fit in nice and snuggly. The predominant color is orange. Decorated with a bit of Ikea’s new Washi tape! Love that stuff.
If anyone’s wondering: I’m using the Avery Zweckform C32070-10 Business cards. They are great quality and not that expensive.
And today my mum came to me with a request to make a birthday card fitting in color and size to the orange C5 envelope she had. So I came up with a layered design, using the following “ingredients”:
- Random orange card stock
Had bought a package of A3 card stock in a variety of shades and picked the orange closest to the envelope and my accent colors - Random dark grey card stock
From the same package - Whisper White card stock by Stampin’ Up
For layering and stamping. This card stock is just an amazing quality and has a very smooth surface, causing the ink not to bleed – as it happens with card stock of lesser quality - 1 1/4” Scallop Circle Punch by Stampin’ Up
- Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Marker by Stampin’ Up
- Old Olive Inkpad by Stampin’ Up
- Sponge Dauber
- Silver Sticker Embellishments from the Craft Store
- Some of the stamps from my last Blog Post
Do you like them? :)
